Running 12v with 110v

I guess this process would be the opposite of using an inverter? How do I run all my 12v stuff using 110v? Must be a diverter?

CONverter turns 110vAC into 12vDC. INverters turn the power from your 12 volt battery system into 110vAC to run your microwave, etc. and I can never keep them straight. But I do know what they do.

As Lorna says, 'Converter' would be what to look for in the catalogue. I always called 'em 'Power Supplies'.
