Shore Power Plug

What is recommended for a plug, 30A or 50A. I just bought a 3ga-30', 30A shore power cord for $30. If I need a 50A for shore I can use this cord on my powder oven that only has a 5' cord now.

What amperage is the oven you use?

I'd say in your case, build your bus for 50amp service.

It's on a 30a breaker. I snatched more for my oven than the bus anyways, been needing a longer cord. 30' for a buck a foot is a deal.

Other than some of the high-end, "new, million dollar motor coaches only" resort style RV parks...the vast majority are 30 amp according to a fairly recent study I saw about a year ago. Especially true of state & National parks, Corps of Engineers parks and the like. And even where 50 is avail, they usually back it up with thirty.
