Switchplates and switches

Lots of big stuff on the board, thought I'd put in some small stuff.
Just some ideas for making switches and using plain old switch plates for other things.

I guess these are pretty self explanatory, the light switch in the wall on the left is a lighted LED switch, about a buck a pice in lots of ten on eBay, they snap onto a 3/4" hole. To the right of the AC outlet on the monitor panel is an RCA connector mounted on a single blank plate used as a 12 volt outlet.

Close up of above - the top switch to the left of the meters turns the inverter on and the lower two switch the battery banks.

Close up of switch -

From the left - entrance light switch, pump switch and the three vertical LEDs are the fresh water level -

Soffit light fixture made from one of those puck light that come in sets of 5 from Home Depot, a lighted LED switch and a double blank switch plate.

Re: Switchplates and switches

Thanks for the idea! I'll be on the lookout for a good application for switch covers in my bus! Sometimes the little things are even more satisfying than the big things. More bang for the buck!

Re: Switchplates and switches

Thanks all.
The LEDs in the water gauge work off 12 volts, they come with the resistor wired in, have 12" leads and as I recall they were about a dime a piece on ebay - bought a bag of them and use them all around the place. They make nice 'nite-light' things, too - just wire 'em up and leave them on all the time, they only draw 10 mA or so, placed right they'll give you enough light to get to the icebox or the can at night without tripping over anything, but not bright enough to bother you. They fit in a 5mm hole.
