Wise to buy bus with electrical issues?

New here.

Since electrical work will need to be done anyways, is it wise to buy a bus where the electrical is shot?

Thank you much.

Electrical working needing done is usually new wiring. We may do a lot of wire deleting of no longer used system. But to start with an electrical issue already seems like insanity. Tracing electrical issues can be a never ending nightmare.
For example, my brother had a 82 Ferrari Mondial, squirrels got in it and chewed on the wiring harness, it totaled the cars value.

Depends on how much you like a test light or multimeter. I myself like something broke and fixing it. Wiring issues drive me crazy. I am fortunate to have a buddy that is good with wire chasing.

wiring issues can be tough to chase.. when you say "electrical issue".. if the bus doesnt run, then it could be simple, or it could be an expensive computer module that needs replaced.. be careful with what the issue is.. if its something like the lights dont work, wipers, etc.. then its usually a wiring issue you can track down.. as mentioned diagrams help, and a multi-meter is a must.
