But I thought the healthy turds were suppose to have bends & turns and that those with a problem came out straight like a log.

Ya...your toilet should mount so that it drops straight down into the holding tank.

Hubby & I talked about it some more and with the Jabsco marine crapper we felt y'all were right....so it's straight down from here (the only thing curly will be --->well you know, what Dr Oz said, curly is good).
We're new to this HepVo valve so I told Hubby I thought that with that design we shouldn't be getting any fumes from the black/grey tank in the kitchen sink. Anyone have any experience with that?
We're gonna go for it and worry about putting in an extra tank if need to later down the road and water in the sink until then.
As for a macerator...he feels that the hand pump acts as it's own macerator so we shouldn't have a need.

How much poop fits in a 40 gallon black tank? I guess the better question would be, how long does it take to make 40 gallons of poop? Is it full after a week? A month? idk how big of a tank will work for my bus.

it really depends, how many people and how much water. with me and my wife and daughter we can go up to 2 weeks,if real careful, and I pee on a tree or the tires we can go maybe 3 weeks, put thats pushing it, you have to keep in mind you have to use a certain amount of water, otherwise your tank can dry up and leave you with a solid mess in the tank, theres also the smell factor, it could get a bit ripe. you can use chemicals for that, also I think your toilet needs a bit more water so it can grind properly (I think). the grey tank will fill alot faster, depending how many showers, dishes, etc.

Question is if I go ahead with my plan will the bottom fall out in just a few years?

Urine is highly corrosive. Plastic is used for holding tanks for good reason.

Have you ever looked at the urinal dividers in a public bathroom. You would think they were made from body panels from rust salt belt vehicles.

And.. one hopes.... that's the effect just from occasional splashes, not frequent direct spray!

I'm starting the installation of my waste tanks, I'm installing a 112 gal fuel tank thats been boiled out for my grey tank & I've just ordered a 40 gal black tank on ebay, I'm going to install a macerating toilet then also have a macerating pump off the black tank but want to install a shut off valve before the pump inlet, I'm thinking this valve & it has a NBR diaphram & I'm wondering if human waste would be damaging to it.
