Well I'm in the process of relocating my fuel tank so I could mount one of these tanks for a combination Grey & Black tank, it's 112 gallons but made of steel, I just read an artical about a street light that fell in San Francisco because so many people & dogs urinated on it made it corrode to the point it collapsed,

Question is if I go ahead with my plan will the bottom fall out in just a few years?

Urine is highly corrosive. Plastic is used for holding tanks for good reason.

Have you ever looked at the urinal dividers in a public bathroom. You would think they were made from body panels from rust salt belt vehicles.

And.. one hopes.... that's the effect just from occasional splashes, not frequent direct spray!

I'm starting the installation of my waste tanks, I'm installing a 112 gal fuel tank thats been boiled out for my grey tank & I've just ordered a 40 gal black tank on ebay, I'm going to install a macerating toilet then also have a macerating pump off the black tank but want to install a shut off valve before the pump inlet, I'm thinking this valve & it has a NBR diaphram & I'm wondering if human waste would be damaging to it.
