incinerating toilets

Has anyone considered using an incinerating toilet? A quick Google will give you the full scoop on poop elimination. Basically, they use propane or electricity to eliminate either kind of waste, turning each flush into a tablespoon of powder. They are pricey - the cheapest I have seen is about $800 - but they save $$ in savings on blackwater tanks, pumps, plumbing, etc

Those toilets are best for FIXED locations in the boonies. The amount of electricity and/or propane you would need on your skoolie would be prohibitive.

My bus was a Bookmobile, and it came with an Incinolet. I never used it, however. Uses little paper bags....

Bus was equipped with 100 amp shore power and 10K Onan genset. Toilet was on a 220v 20 amp circuit.

Electric loo is popular for cabins or work buildings without septic.

I knew a guy who lived in the woods he had a pit he would use a toilet when it started getting full he would pour oil, gas or what ever cheap flammable liquid he could find in it then toss a match in it.

He said the smell was Horrible.. He would only burn it before he left for the day.

The guy said he learned of this type of toilet in Vietnam when he was a soldier in the war. He said they had rows of 55gl barrels cut in half the for the "latrine" when they got full someone had to burn them. The guy on base that got in the most trouble would be on latrine burn duty.
