Re: Recycling water?
It's not gonna work quite that easy, FD. Bleach will purify water only in the sense that it will kill off bacteria. It will not remove dirt solids or soap.
If you want to recycle water there are viable options. Maybe re-use dish water to wash clothes, or reuse whats in your gray tank to flush your toilet.
I'm thinking of having a valve under my sink that will let me choose between my gray tank or a bucket under the sink, so that if I wish to re-use that water immediately I can. Or if I'm just rinsing dishes and it's practically clean water maybe just haul it outside and dump it somewhere, save room in my tank.

Re: Recycling water?
I would think you could drink your own urine and wash is back with some dish soap. The wait for it to come out the other end again....Then you could do your dishes.
Sorry, it was there and had to take it. Just get a bigger water tank. It seems it would be a real big hassle to dissinfect, and filter it all again.

Hey Ray,
That's what I been think'in. Valve things out to use graywater for flushing and another valve to divert all gray water to dump outside (where permissable) instead of into the gray tank.

Oh, and i could pee into a bucket, drink it, and follow it with nothing, and i would be fine. urine leaves your body sterile and is slowly contaminated over time.
(My mom: OH! thats disgustin!!)

I drank pee once, not in a survival situation, then I found out it's called a fetish. Hey, it was back in college days!
And she promised me everybody was doing it.
