Why not use a Rubbermaid water trough? Much less hassle. Not as fancy but it would work and you could put it outside so she could have a bath in nature if she wanted.

It's what I was going to do. I think tractor supply has one that is cheaper than the Rubbermaid.

Where in the floor are you all thinking of installing a sunken bathtub?

Keep in mind the floor supports are running side to side, every foot. That means for a 6 foot tub, you would have to cut at least 4 of them. Just with one cut the floor starts to feel spongy. Some restructuring would definitely be needed.

I have some good idea's on how to go about this. Ask if interested.
