Water Pressure?

Is there anyway to make SURE I get great shower head pressure from a RV system?

Strange story, today we get all the insulation out of our coach and my wife and I both needed to shower so I used the 2nd bathroom at the house. That shower has twice the water pressure we have in our primary bathroom. I can only assume thats because its only 10ft away from the water heater vs 50 ft away like the master bath, no clue.

Anyways, just wanted to ask if there are ways to control/increase water pressure, specifically to the shower.

The problem may not be pressure but volume. The primary shower head is restricted or plugged.

The pump is the source of pressure...go to a RV or marine store and it's gonna look something like this...it has a built in regulator...usually 5gpm and sized for the number of appliances in the system

jdawgs got it right.

it just takes a little math. most shower heads are about 2 gpm. if its less, it will be marked (low flow) like a .5gpm or some other number.

as long as that is the only water device running, any pump over 2 gpm (+ a bit for friction loss) will run the shower head like it was designed.

if you want to flush the toilet at the same time and keep pressure, find the gpm rating of the toilet and get a bigger pump like JD suggests.

as long as you use less than 50' of pipe, you can stay with 1/2" pipe. if your runs go longer, you'd want 3/4" pipe.

if your hooked up somewhere you wont use your pump. if your not hooked up you want to consider your fresh and gray water tank size. you will want to take navy showers or use as little water as possible otherwise you will fill your gray tank after a few showers.
