Thanks! I put you in my feedly so I saw the post. Such a good idea, I love that you have an option to harvest what the earth gives you even if it’s raining. My current house has rain barrels everywhere... might just have to find a welder now when I get started.

I think passive systems are smart and will pay for themselves over and over. If you want to totally geek out, it could be used to measure rain fall--Accurate tank level measuring device + known surface area of roof + some math
