12 Volt TV?

Hey there!

Wondering if there is such thing as a 12 volt tv and if so, where would I find it?

Secondly, if there is no such thing - Would it be possible to run the TV without having to run the inverter?

Thanks!

They have 12V tv monitors - not sure sizes - truck stops / stores - walmart - Amazon sell them.

https://smile.amazon.com/TVD1801-22-...eywords=12v+tv

Variety of sizes - I have thought about getting a small one - but so far just use the computer.

I saw a 32" 12 volt model being advertised at Bi-Mart last year. It wasn't expensive.

I've been thinking about that for a long time too. Already bought a Mohu Leaf trucker's antenna. Got to cut the umbilical cord to the grid/hughesnet/Dish. Loosing the dvr is going to be painful.

It doesn't have to be a dedicated rv TV, any TV with a 12 volt power supply will work.

First off, expand your pool by realizing you don't need a "TV" with the receiver built in, computer screens work fine.

Then, walk around looking at the transformer "power brick" specs.

Also doesn't have to be 12V specifically, an inexpensive DC-DC converter will boost to 18V or whatever.

Much more efficient than double-converti, g by using an inverter.

Amazon also sells 12v television sets.

Ah yes, you're all totally right! I do not need a "TV" but probably simply just a monitor.

Thanks for the responses

Using an Android TV, either TV set itself, or a plug in box, you get the DVR features no problem... That's how I managed to catch game 5 of the world series this last year...

I have a sharp I bought that's is dc and a.c. it's old school so I need a converter box but it worked well while fishing at night during march madness. I got it at best buy but there's cheaper sources.
