3 Burner Stove Top Suggestions?

Hi all, I am looking for a quality and safe drop-in stove top.

All i have seen are Atwood and Suburban stoves and honestly the reviews are below average and sometimes scary in terms of leaking gas and whatnot.

Anyone else know a similar product that's higher quality?

Thanks

Viking makes one, it's a bit bigger. Never had just the stove top but our Viking commercial stove was so awesome. Really good construction, all stainless

I realize your post says 3 burner, however I have been looking at this online and the price is reasonable enough. We still haven't decided if were are going combo or straight stove top and separate toaster oven or what not....

I looked at this one too, but the depth is greater than 2 feet which is deeper than a standard counter top. the gas inlet stubs right out the back too making the need for more room to hook up the gas line.

So I bought and gutted a camper to repurpose the parts into Skoolie Doo and I am having second thoughts about the range I have. 4 burners on top and the oven both work great, but I don't see myself baking anything while camping. I see the oven unit as being a waste of precious space. If I get a drop in cooktop, I'll be able to save some space for more drawers or a cabinet.

search craigslist for used rv parts, might find an oven or cooktop on the cheap. that is what I have been doing.

cheers

I used to bake all of our bread. I get less time now, but while camping it would be easy. An oven would be very nice but I'm not convinced the usual "camping" equipment is robust enough.

Apartment size domestic units are well worth a look.

I had a travel trailer for a few years a while back and forced myself to use the oven once to bake a pizza just to see if it worked. I guess I just don't do a lot of baking while camping. Perhaps because I grew up tent camping and never baked then either. I was thinking that if I wanted to bake I could do it in a dutch oven with hot rocks on the lid. So I guess the question for OP is do you do a lot of baking or anticipating doing baking?

I may just very well use the range I got, because I already have it, and I know it works.... but I would trade it to someone with a drop in cooktop.

Id avoid that. We bought it and are returning it after testing it and having a mini explosion occur...! Dodgy

Also the hose sticks out the back about 3 inches which makes it even deeper.
