Re: Chest Freezer as 'Fridge in Bus

I came across this guy's contraption. Seems cheaper than the store bought ones.

Re: Chest Freezer as 'Fridge in Bus

i know this is an older post but im gonna reply anyway. the last link in the op is very valid. i installed one in a deep freezer for a buddy of mine for beer brewing purposes. and they sell an upright deepfreezer thats about 3.5' h x 2.5' wide, with a swing out door. the entire rig would run you about 400 bucks but you would be set. refridge when hooked up on shore power and a ice for the road, even if we are parked for extended lengths without power making ice would be very worth the money. smittey if you get it going please post.

$45 is a decent price. I already found the chest freezer I want as a freezer, just need to find a tiny chest freezer to convert to a fridge. Love this thread.
