Dishwasher thoughts? Gourmet Kitchen dreams

I wasn't going to include a dishwasher (machine) in my build because I figured I'd have my dishwasher (wife) with me on my travels. I was reading a post where they were shocked at how much water they used washing dishes in the sink and it stuck with me, I guess.

I sure don't want to give-up any extra storage space for a luxury not utilized, but as I was perusing the Lowes clearance section I found this little bad-boy.

Bosch 800 series Dishwasher. It is so cute- 18" wide. Supposed to be one of the best machines and we have 4 in our troupe. I think they are popular for under the bar.

My only concern is winterizing/freezing, so I'll have to figure something out. Pretty sure I have indoor Winter storage for the bus, so shouldn't be huge issue.

So, this latest addition rounds-out my Kitchen Harem nicely. The convection oven is tiny 24", as well. Only thing full-sized is the microwave. Fridge is still unknown, but probably will do the chest refreezerator thing, already own. I'll be adding a single propane burner to the Garland induction hob, as well- open to suggestions here.

It's quite an electrical load- 2 appliances are 220V, but I have 10Kw Diesel genny and 100 amp shore power. All my wiring is way overkill already. On a 30-amp supply, just can't run everything at once.

All totaled, I have $900 in the appliances, but they retail for $3700. Majority are unused, but scratch-n-dent. I'm a helluva cook.

nice little device!! I would think you could just turn the unit on afyer you put some RV anti-freeze into your fresh tank and then run it through a fill and drain cycle.

Ive seen dishwashers in the fancy Prevost built coaches that sit unheated over the winter.

That's what I was hoping. I haven't bought a dishwasher in awhile- they added all kinds of computerized gizmos to them- it has it's own built-in water softener.

Being an expensive little computer, I'll have to throw some love it's way with little power conditioner.

More stuff= more work. If I end-up hating it, I'll just yank and fill the void with drawers.

Thats the best part of doing it yourself. If you don't like it or change your mind. Well, you change it into something else. I've already done this many times in my build

What about the old-school counter top dishwasher? It could fit in half the space that one does and stow away for travel.

She's a beaut! I don't seem to use that much water, but I also enjoy using use and toss plates and utensils, as well. Pretty little dishwasher you got there!

I really had no intention of getting any dishwasher, but this one spoke to me. For some reason, I can't do things the easy way.

That's a good point- the kind of feedback I had hoped for.

Aren't all campsites level?

Or I have to slap some leveler's on there. That's probably how the fancy coaches do it. So, my cheap little dishwasher will cost a few grand...

or a very large gimbal....

After living with limited water availability for several years I learned to wash a meals worth of dishes for two using about 2 gallons of water. I would be quite surprised if a machine can match a really frugal hand wash.

Just my $0.02

I intend to add leveler- someday . Just passed-up an auction for 4 rebuilt dump-truck hoists (hydr cylinder) for $110. Indy auctioned off a bunch of jaws-of-life kits w/ hydr pump for $350. Half a grand and I coulda lifted the entire bus a foot in the air.

My brother-in-law is President of electronics company that caters to RV industry, he makes embedded controls for levelers. I need to hit him up for group buy.

Even baking soda and vinegar is the best way to clean no chemicals
