How much gas can the Dometic RM3962RB consume? How long does a 20 lb gas tank last? Thanks.

Website says:

Power consumption on gas 1501.28 BTU/h

Interwebs says:
1 lb. of Propane 21,600 BTU
1 Gal. of Propane 91,000 BTU

BBQ-sized tank is 20 lbs

My math teacher says:
14 hr/lb
14*20=280 hrs
280/24= 11 days.......But

It's tough to utilize all the propane in the tank.

Somebody doublecheck me....have not had coffee yet.

The gas burner will have a variable duty cycle depending on outside temperature and usage.

You can gauge propane consumption using a bathroom scale. Weigh the (full) tank, run the fridge for a week and weigh it again.

On first blush your math looks right. However, most places don't fill the cylinders all the way:

so you may only get 75% of the calculated run time....
