I'm in need of Under Seat Heaters

While a lot of you are doing conversions and ripping out the heaters under the seats, I'd like to know where I can purchase them new or buy them off of someone who doesn't need them?

My bus is from New Orleans but it's now in Massachusetts and I'm freezing. The hose is still in tact and it runs the length of the bus from the back to the front, but the heaters were removed.

Also, if I can't get an original new or used heater for my bus, what other options do I have to hook up a heater to the existing hoses? Is it the same concept as a forced hot water system in a home?

I have 2 of them if you'd like. I'm in NY though. But they're yours if you want them.

forced hot water baseboard heater

Would a baseboard heater such as this forced hot water radiator work if connected to your bus hoses and radiator? Name: baseboard radiator.jpg

I'm so sorry to have to go back on my offer. My Son has convinced me that I should keep them for heat while traveling. I feel really bad for having to go back on my word.
I hope you can get them from EastCoast. Again, I'm very sorry.

this type of heater will produce warmth near where it is... but when travelling down the road you will likely want a fan forced heater... and as you know these types of heaters and bus heaters only work when you are driving the bus, as it uses engine heat..

I have one in Tennessee if still needed. The mounting brackets have been cut off though.

Chris, what type of heater would you suggest that I can use with the existing system?

I have two under-seat heaters in Southern Michigan, if anyone wants them. If I don't end up finding a use for the hosing, you can have that, too.

I'm going to guess that those offers would cover about half the seats in your bus. Shipping is certainly a lot cheaper than buying bus heaters from Amazon.
Those coolant heaters are a good way to stay warm while traveling, but bus heaters are an expensive way to stay warm if you're not traveling.

I've had two winters in this bus. One uninsulated, and the second winter with spray foam insulation. I've kept all my windows, so covering them during cold weather is a given. Now I can heat with a 600 watt electric/ceramic heater at about a dollar a day while parked.

As you may have gathered from the numerous heater offers, these coolant heaters aren't highly valued in buses. Nobody wants to see you waste money. At the same time nobody knows your situation like you do.

Mine were more of a wall heater, but still from coolant.

I forgot to ask. Are you planning on buying one of those Webasto coolant heaters so you can use the under seat heaters without running the engine?
