Interesting heater

I saw this diesel heater for boats. It's much cheaper than I thought. $739

There is also this solid fuel heater that is very reasonably priced. $353

Re: Interesting heater

This one has a cooktop. Hot water coils are available as an option.

Re: Interesting heater

A friend of the family owns a sport fishing charter out of West Port WA... I had my bus at a get together and was talking about diesel heaters and they had just given one away... It was a small marine one, I was pretty bummed out...

Re: Interesting heater

Why did they give it away? Was it broken?

Re: Interesting heater

Might want to check with the Army surplus stores.....
The diesel heaters are simple to operate, fairly cheap to purchase and used..... You get a lot of heat for your buck $$$.

Re: Interesting heater

The ones we used in our tents where drip feed models. Consisted of a metal box, stove pipe, the tank was a 5 gallon can of diesel that we setup on a chair, log or whatever we could find.
and a regulator that controlled the drip. After we got it burning all it needed was a constant source of fuel. To get it started we would mix in a little mo-gas on the beginning to get it burning good
(not recommended if you're new at this) can you say FLASH!!!!! FIRE..!!!
then switch it over to diesel. It could run all night. Not recommended for use while driving or in a moving vehicle.

Re: Interesting heater

They gave it away because it had been sitting in the back of their office for a number of years... Someone asked about it and since they had one on every boat they gave it to the guy... Wish I could of gotten it...
