Yeah, could be. I dunno what the components cost. If the compressor was fried would it still have windings like a regular compressor? Being that the entire trailer was there, I'm hoping the evap, trailer itself, compressor, etc is what died.

depends on the reefer.. most used a direct driven-by-engine compressor and then electric fan motors for evaporator and condensor fans,, the compressor was bolted to the output shaft of the engine directly.. not belt driven.

That part I believe is the case. The big empty spot directly behind the motor had to be the compressor. Coils were up top. Seemed to be a shelf unit kinda thing. Engine and compressor down low. Radiator and condenser up high near the roof of the trailer. There was a fairly large tank that looked too big to be just a reservoir/radiator.

some of them were vertical where they mounted on the front side of a trailer and stood up vertically... others horizontal units that mounted on the top front corner of usually a box truck.. the reefer would overhang the cab.. that type would look like it is meant to sit on a shelf..

This was mounted to the trailer and was almost as tall as the trailer itself. Very thin profile as these things go.

Don't know if it was a Carrier even. There was a bus with a ceiling (not roof) Carrier. I didn't see any vents going outside on it. Was above the rear e-door and fit completely within the curve of the ceiling. Need to go back and check it out too.

It’s been awhile...
I was just curious as to where I might could find some photos of the OP’s final setup for securing the outdoor unit??
I believe I am in the same boat! I hope to find answers as some as possible. Same size unit I believe.
I don’t want to go underneath the bus but perhaps I could be convinced through pictures
