Removing rear heater and 1 inch hosing

I want to remove the rear heater which is connected to the front of the bus with two x 4 metre 1 inch black hoses. I was going to cut the hoses near to the front heater and put in a 480 degree aluminium elbow to join the two hoses together..... Is that the best plan?

That's pretty much what I did with mine. Tied the two hoses together at the front heater. Haven't had any problems.

I've done this on my Bus, as well as my last one.
I'm thinking about using one of the heaters up front in the "cab". Can never have too much heat!
