Styrofoam against Styrofoam is such an awful noise. It's up there with fingernails on the chalk board
I was warned about the squeaking from a guy at the building supply, so it concerned me a bit - and my girlfriend said the bus she once had, the squeaking from the styrofoam drove her nuts - that's the only thing I've heard her say bad about the bus she once lived in
I hate squeaks but I knew I couldn't afford spray foam so I settled for layers of 1" R-Tech foam board. I sprayed a film of 3M 77 contact cement on each surface and slapped them in. I got lucky, I've never heard a single plastic squeak--a lot of other racket but no squeaks.

No squeaks. However, we have only used it in the floor at present so there is not much chance of movement. We have Reflectix, then XPS, then Reflectix, then plywood, then vinyl flooring.
