Wood/Gas option for heat?

Rebecca and I are having some trouble deciding what to do for heat. We love wood heat but are considering spending some time near a large city; plus propane is convenient. We were looking at small, efficiency wood stoves or propane stoves. Has anyone seen a combo option? Is there such a thing, or a safe way to diy it?

A compact dual fuel fireplace in a bus... If you find one please share...

Dickenson makes some great propane heaters as well as a "solid fuel" heater that will burn wood, coal, briquettes and other solid fuels. Nothing that burns both gas & wood though.

Yeah the Dickinson's look nice. I was afraid there wouldn't be anything. Quick! Someone swoop in and tell us we're wrong!

If you should decide to go with the Dickenson shop it hard. Most places I see them for $800-$1100. My neighbor got one delivered for $683.
