I have no experience in this area, and hopefully you will get advice from somebody who has experience, but I say put your flu out a window. The worst case scenario is that someone will tell you that is not allowed. Best case scenario is that it is allowable wherever you are and you can decide whether you want to keep it or not. Keep your stove running and find out what fits in the area you are in.

I've driven a bus that had a big ass chimney right out the top. Never had a problem and I did have a few police check my bus out (for fun, not in trouble ;)
That law sounds like a lot of BS, but the world is full of stupid laws. I find it impossible to believe that your bus would be impounded for having a chimney.
I would never worry about it.

Installed?(said with the tone of false damaged dignity) but Sir I am just transporting it around. I doubt any cop will recognize a rocket stove thermal mass heater, and if they do they won't care one bit. If it is illegal, it is only against code and wouldn't be anything other than a civil matter anyways. RVs are this really grey area of legality.

Just keep in mind that sometimes the "stupid laws" are there for stupid people. People who don't do things safely and make fires, have smoke leaks, burn charcoal grills inside and get carbon monoxide poisoning, that kind of thing.
Also if you ever have a fire or other damage from a creative solution to heat, you may find you're not insured like you thought you were.

idk about any laws, but if there is one, its probably for a reason.
make sure you have an adequate fresh air supply for the stove. a stove will consume oxygen in a well sealed room.

Anytime someone that says something is against the law, ask them to show or cite the law, code or ordinance. There are some strange laws out there and sometimes it is true.

There is still a City Ordinance in effect here in Houston that makes it against the law to tie your camel to any horse hitching rack or post.
And by golly...It must work, cause I haven't seen such a thing for years.

That is outrageous. What do I do with my camel now when I want to go drinking.

You thinking was clouded by small minded big govt types telling you what you can and can't do with your property, to realize that you camel would like a beer too and enjoy your company relaxing in a bar after a long day of doing camel stuff.
