A couple of transients bought an old bus in North FL

Hi folks,
My name is Austin and my fiancee Sarah and I just bought a bus in North Florida (Jacksonville) and I'd like to introduce ourselves to the skoolie community. I'm from North Georgia and have my 100 Ton Captain's license and have been hopping from South Florida to Alaska and Central America with boat work for the last 5 years. Sarah is from Idaho (who is also very well-traveled and takes similar seasonal work) and before last summer we'd both been calling Boise our home base. Last spring we packed up and moved to Juneau, Alaska to take jobs for the summer Whale-Watching season. At the end of the summer, we decided to head to North Florida, buy a 1998 38' International T444e bus and call that home for the next couple of years. We're barely through the gutting process but we only got it last week and we have until March 15th to get it road ready. I've been watching this site closely for the last 3 months getting ideas and want to thank everybody for this awesome little compendium of knowledge you've established here.
I'm looking forward to getting to know everybody better and will certainly have lots of questions about our conversion in the coming months. If anyone cares to check out our blog, I try to post our work and my general ramblings at http://buslife.org.

Thanks again!

Austin Arrington

You might want to come to the "Know H.O.W. expo" in Ocala florida. It is February 1, and 2. This is NOT a tiny homes show but is for homes on wheels, mostly skoolies.
