Atlanta Newb!

Hi!

I'm Nicole. I'm a designer and just test drove my first skoolie today. Even backed that sucker up into a parking space (35' bus). First time ever driving anything that large. Handles better than I thought.

I'm totally nervous though. While it has already been lived in as an RV and has all of the "bones," because I'm a designer, I need to gut EVERYTHING including the floors. That's a lot of work!

I did a scaled floor plan but this is scary.

Hi, Nicole! Terra and I are in Kennesaw, we're still in process of finding a bus. Would love to know more about your selection and buying experience, and to lend a hand wherever you might need one. Being a designer sounds like a great skill to have in this arena!

Wow, so many Georgians on the forum this month! We should have a skoolie party.

I couldn't get the floor plan link to work, but I did check out your portfolio. Yay for set designers! I do pretty much the same thing as a game artist, only digitally. A lot of layout, lighting, etc. in the digital world comes from studying stage and set design in the real world.

Taking a bus down to bare steel is a hot, dirty job, but it's pretty satisfying, too. I can't wait to see what you do with it.
