Yeah it's why we turned our nose up initially at all of the RE300s when we discovered this but for a little more variety in our test driving I'm including it anyway. Popular opinion is leaning towards the HDX atm anyway, but if it falls flat somewhere then it'll most likely be #24. We are not planning heavy structural modifications anyway so we shouldn't have too much invested in the bus that couldn't reused. Don't tell the inspector

Don’t be afraid of the gas. If you’ve flared and bent brake line you’re almost there. Most certainly key in that installation is choice of material. Reading through 1192 a couple of times should clear that up mostly.

And to set your mind at ease, if you’ve ever had to deal with these systems in a factory motor home or mobile home, you’ll see how slap dash they are and you will know your work will impress the inspector.
Good discussion.

I can't tell you how many times I have heard or read "there is no 'code'for RV's". I have quit arguing with them

There is a code, but no legal authority to enforce it.

No problem here. NFPA has lots of people that are much smarter than I am when it comes to safely constructing a dwelling. Stationary or mobile.

I have no problem with following code in order to reduce my chances of waking up dead.....

If any of you all doesn't agree that is fine. I will ask though to not park near me.

Rust issues such as those pictured on the 1st page, would lead to a road safety inspection failure in my state.

And the sad part is in less than 10 years of continuous year round service here, almost all vehicles have similar death sentence rust issues.
While anything can be fixed, why would anyone want to try to bring back from the dead, a bus with substantial rust issues?

The savvy buyer will look for a bus far away from the nation's "Rust Belt" when in the pre-purchasing stages...
