Blue Bird Big Bus Bound for Haiti

Am working on a 1994 Blue Bird All American to hopefully drive to south florida and ship to an orphanage in Port au Prince, Haiti. Obviously we want to ensure it is in the best possible shape before leaving. I have been unable to determine the transmission type, fluid and maintenance requirements. Any insight on how to decode this from the VIN number, if possible, would be most appreciated. Same goes for hydraulic fluid. Many Thanks.

Transmission will almost certainly be an Allison. If so, there should be a placard affixed to the passenger side that will either have the model or at the least the serial number which can be looked up via the Allison website. Fluid specs can also be looked up once you know the model.

Many thanks Tango. I will be changing the oil on Monday and will locate the placard while I am under there. Thanks again.
