The seller is asking 25k with RV title and he offered to strip the seats (presumably he imports a lot of these, so this is a win win). Considering the pricing here:
https://www.busesforsale.com/categor...e-decker-buses
overall, I feel like I'm getting a pretty good deal. I could save a lot by importing it myself, but I'd be stuck with import tax, the hassle of registering it in NY, and removing and disposing of the seats myself.

The governor on most of these is set to 62. Not sure how this one is configured. All great questions

I know next to nothing about those busses. I was look into one many years ago. A problem that I ran into was that I was told that these are city busses and are underpowered for highway use. The one I looked at would supposedly only go about 45mph. Be sure that the speed is not a concern before buying this.

Fun
The 64 dollar question is sleeping on first floor or second floor? I would think living on top floor would give the best views, just wondering your thoughts.

Upstairs for sure! Forward master br that converts into office/dining area. Three small sleep pods in the rear center of the bus... Have initial layout plans, but I'm not home right now to post

I noticed in a couple photos you mentioned "This is where I put in gas" - is this a gas or diesel powered bus? Don't want to put in wrong type of fuel (it's happened more than once!)

Definitely diesel. Should have said fuel ;). But I'd never make that mistake. Thanks for the (very fair) warning.

PS I grew up in Europe where both fuel types were common. I think of both as "gas" just different types, but I realize that's not right.

Well, seller will deliver early September. Looks like we're doing this!
Once I get the bus and take some photos I'll start a build thread.
