Downsizing to a Skoolie

Hello from North Carolina

The kids are on their own! Now I am thinking about converting a bus for travel and then to live off grid on a small farm (goats, quail, bees, orchard, veggies & herbs). I would rather put my money into land and barns then a larger house. I have never taken on a project like this (converting a bus), or been inside a skoolie for that matter. I would love to connect with some NC, southern VA or northern SC folks to check out a few buses, and spend some time learning and helping with someone else's conversion. If anyone is in this area and needs help or wants to show off their bus I would love to hear from you. And if anyone has a thoughts, guidance on starting a small farm, or where I can do some research, feel free to through that out too. Thanks a bunch!

Welcome, i am in Richmond. Very skilled with electrical and mechanical, but not much wood working skill. My build is pretty simple and completely off gridd. If you get a spot of land the kitty and i may be interested in coming to NC to help if you want because we are in need of a new place to park.

Good luck!
