Droppedoutofschoolbus

My friends and I bought a 1954 chevrolet bus. The plans are to add a top deck and back deck to it, then lay astroturf everywhere inside and out. We have all of thr frames and metal fab done for the entire bus so far. We have to lay wood and carpet on top of the supports. The bus has 235 inline 6 with a 4 speed tranny in it that was 115 hp stock. The engine just threw a rod so we are LS swapping it. The brakes don't work at all so we are going to trash the old system and put a new master cylinder, booster, and lines. We are thinking axle swaps front and back. If you have instagram it has its own account at "DROPPEDOUTOFSCHOOLBUS"

Welcome! --- Great to see another "oldie" in the works. Lots of engine, tranny & axle options. But any way you build it...it will ALWAYS be way cooler than anything new.

But please..we need pix...here!

welcome
is the rack removable so you can do the roof and reseal seams?

Looks like a long fun project, check out Tango's build for his drivetrain swap

We can move this to conversion projects if you want, just let us now

You BOUGHT THIS? It must truly be true that "Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder"

luck with it....It will definitely be a cool looking bus if you do it right.

I think "THE BEAST" would be a great name for it.
