First post first bus ih3800 1981 shorty

Hello! 1981 international harvester 3800 series short bus conversion started last week.

Before, she was a camper:

I tore all that out and saved the stove and sink and steel frames. It was a loving job, but a complete hack job as well.

The floor is not terrible for a 1981 in Maine. Salvageable, I know it's labor, but I love this style year bus.

The ugly bit:

Black water tank attached and rigged to a porcelain toilet. Tank smashed in. Will removed for composting bucket system..

Big new battery. She runs. Diet root diesel straight 6. How do I determine which one? Can't find model plate in usual places. I have VIN, but maybe engine was swapped?

PCV system is not hooked up, those hose is venting freely under the bus. Thought it should go into a ccv?

Everything works, except brake lights, quick in fixing. And hood clamps, which are ordered.

She's a classic and I only have bill of sale...

Before I did anything else to that bus I would make sure I could get a clear title to it.

You don't want to put a lot of love, sweat, tears, and $$$ into that bus only to discover you can't get a title. And without a title you won't be able to get a license. Which will make that into a really ugly chicken coop on wheels.
