Hello!
My name is Todd Smith. My girlfriend, Toni, and I live in League City, Texas and are 30 days from finishing our Skoolie. I am co-owner of Deadfish Customs in Dickinson, TX and have been building tiny homes for almost 12 years. I had been planning on building a tiny home on a trailer of my own for years, but life and work always got in the way. We started converting buses into custom tailgating vehicles a long time ago, and figured a Skoolie was the way to go. I don't have to finance a $60k truck to pull 16,000lbs of house/trailer. I don't need a bunch of space to maneuver and back up a 38' trailer. And, I think Skoolies are just more personable and appealing. No offense tiny home owners, it's just my opinion. Anywho, I will post some pictures as soon as I figure out how to. I'm having problems understanding the format, but I'll learn it good. I just turned 40, and we thought it was time to quit talking about it, and BE about it. So, got out of our home, sold a ton of crap, and downsized in preparation for our new lifestyle. We couldn't be more excited!
