Hello from Asheville, NC.
Hey guys,
James here from Asheville, NC. I'm on the hunt for a bus to do a conversion on. Something like a 24ish passenger bigger bus chassis with a handicap lift, flat front diesel pusher.
My wife and I travel a lot and want something we can go anywhere in. However, I would like to bring my motorcycle/scooter with me and I've seen guys use the handicap lifts for their motorcycles. So the bus would have a small garage section/motorcycle storage.
I wanna haul this:

The Piedmont area has lots of rust free buses. Check out North Carolina School Bus Surplus System for buying buses direct from school systems.

Welcome!
My friend made a mobile motorcycle shop out of a bus.
I left the rear 10 ft of this bus for a shop area. I am soooo glad that i did. It is my sanctuary. Got a little lightning globe and a bench on each side and under both benches are all my tools and gadgets. Just thniking about it makes me want to go sit back there now lol.
Nice bike btw. Is that the v4 motor?

I'm still in the research stage, trying to find what's best, even though I have a good idea what I want. Just not sure I could handle a 40ft bus. Especially in the mountains where I plan on going a lot. A lot of those roads have a 30 ft restriction.

I'm gonna have to check yours out. You have a 40ft bus?
Yea, it's the v4 motor, 1100cc updated in 2016. Absolute monster of a motor. Just a flawless package all together.
I would like to haul my bike for mountain camping and my scooter when I have the wife for tooling around campgrounds.
I also travel for work a lot. And I could take it with me. So I'm hoping to get something going.

Yea, me too lol. I had a YSR 50, but I was too big for it. Made Killboy highlights with it though lol

There was recently one like that at auction on GovDeals or Public Surplus. I pretty much use those exclusively when looking for buses.
Very nice candidates for conversion. I like the short, transit style front engine buses. VERY maneuverable.

My daily driver is a Tomos Targa.
not my bus in the pic, just a local church bus.
I hit 52mph on it once, but with the current setup I'm seeing just under 50.
