Hello from Chicago!!

Hello everyone!

This week I bought a 2002 Ford E350 V10 5 window shuttle bus on an online auction, and am in the fun / scary limbo of having yet to pick up the vehicle or see it in person, or even better know exactly what condition it is in mechanically. Good news is its 800 miles from me making all decisions that much harder. 😂

Wanted to say hello cause I will most likely be using this sites resources quite a bit in the upcoming months.

Wish me luck!!

Welcome!

Bringing your first bus home can be an adventure One member here took a bird strike . The bird came through the windshield. IIRC: it was Winter, in cold climate, and he finished the trip with a big hole in the windshield.

Don't worry too much Most of us get home unscathed

I have ferried three buses home with zero bus issues. I did have one trip that I won't mention except to say "I will NEVER eat at that truck stop again! "

We look forward to following your build. Pictures are required

Welcome aboard, former Chicagoan here. Still not sure how we were able to convert our bus IN WINTER near Lake Michigan.....but take heart, it is possible!

That's good to know about converting in Winter. Yes, I didn't do any planning leading up to the purchase so am making all of the calls to try and figure out logistics.

The Dazzling Blue Bird looks awesome by the way!! Falling into that wormhole in 3. 2. 1. . . Thanks!!
