Talking Hello! Happy to be hear!

Hello, My name is Mike. My wife and I are bartenders in Miami, FL. We have 2 beautiful boys and have decided to take our family on a big adventure. We are starting by downsizing to our bus conversion from our 4/3 in Miami. Then we are going to take our boys on a year long adventure across America. It's very exciting and scary at the same time.

I just bought a MC-9 (not exactly a skoolie, hope that's ok). It's been gutted and I'm in the process of doing the framing now! I'm hoping to get some advice and ideas from all of you! I'm a little nervous to see if I can pull off everything but I'm very motivated.

Nice to meet everyone!

Good luck. Read, read, read. This forum and its members are full of info, tips, and experience. Odds are if you are thinking it, someone has tried it. Even if they haven't tried it, they probably have a pretty good idea of how to do it. Good luck on the conversion, and safe travels!!

Dave works FAST, too. So take that for what its worth.
My bus is like some slow, lumbering beast of a project. I'll probably have 4 or 5 years in it when its done.

I plan on a quick conversion (minimum to call it an RV)... About a year. No roof raise, and leaving the ceiling panels in place. That is based on my work and personal life schedule, doing projects on weekends and off hours. I sure if you work on it full time and have all your bits and pieces gathered it can be done.

Welcome! I'm 100 miles north of you in Stuart.

Totally doable by May 19th. I brought mine home Oct 4 and was living in it Nov 6, with the basics.

I brought my bus home the day before Matthew. Glad it turned out to affect us minimally.
Stuart is a great little town [emoji4]
