Talking Hello Its me...

Got the bug about a month ago. I m afraid it might be terminal. The therapy seems costly, but I am sure there are alternative ways to reduce the cost. Still haven't told the wife yet. The timing couldn't be better. two years til the kiddies head to college. My mind is full of ideas. I'm in that blooming stage where I cant stop thinking of the possibilities. Currently following and binge watching Rolling Vistas and Roll with it. Would appreciate recommendations for videos that DETAIL the conversion process, and decisions making process and execution (as in the actually doing it- NOT executing the crew!)
Departure window 2 1/2 years out. I live in Florida so looking to hit Alaska in July and claim that IRON BUTT prize. I always had dreamed of building a boat and sailing the world... This is MUCH more realistic. Look forward to meet you, here or on the road.

One big obstacle for me is SPACE I need space for the shop and to store the bus while I work on it. I currently live in and apt and it would cost about 400 a month to get a 10 X 10 workshop space and a space for the bus. Open to any and all suggestions. I am working on my "Just Do it" -ness. Let's git 'er done!

Oh my Gawd! Todd Rudgren?!!
Hey, nice intro sir, well done.
My best suggestion is to read other's build threads, after you determine what flavor of bus is best suited to anticipated needs. From there, read & research about the various engine & tranny options there are, so you may shop smartly & accordingly.
Welcome to the sanitarium!
The Doctor will be with you shortly. Bend over and say, "Ah..."

Welcome to the bin.
the treatment can be more like physiotherapy, costs you a bit here and there, but if you commit your time to your "homework" the hits to the pocket book are more spread out and you have a more involved "rehab"

I have no YouTuber's to suggest, however we have Skoolies here that post to YouTube.... they would be folks I would recommend, plus it will get you looking through the forum a bit more which never hurts. But there is tons of resource here if you spend the time reading.
