Hello there

I just picked up a 1990 Chevy school bus conversion and will be using this site as a reference tool. I am looking forward to the journey ahead! I am in Austin, Tx.

Okaly dokaly. This is how I picked it up. It is a really good jumping off point since most of the work is done. It is in great mechanical shape and has all new tires. I am looking forward to enjoying my former hippie bus.

Looks nice, but I would definitely gut it from top to bottom. 1) to rebuild it to how you want it, 2) get rid of whatever potential creeping crud is lurking behind those steel panels in the original insulation, and 3) replace the crappy fiberglass insulation with something with a better R value.

But, that's just me

Whoa. Sorry for the double post. Scooter, I bought this thing cheap and I am just wanting to enjoy it as is really. I will have to post up some pics after I get the bed and curtains sorted.

The one symbol is a medicine wheel or the circle of life. The arrows are for safe passage. It was blessed by the Lacota indian tribe and they painted the symbols on there. I love it. It even came with a peace pipe that they gave the owners when they blessed it. This thing is full on hippie. I wouldn't have it any other way.

The girlfriend and I are looking forward to the adventures and stories that are to come. She handles the decorating and I handle the mechanics. So far we have had a blast with it.
