Hello! we are doing this!

Hello from Colorado Springs!

My wife and I are excited to begin this new journey.
We have decided that we want to begin living full time in a Skoolie! So much so that we have began placing bids on a few busses that were for sale by a local school district. We did not win... sigh.
I got to thinking, maybe this is a good thing. We don't even know what to look for or what to avoid.
It will be just for the 2 of us plus a small dog and cat. I am 5'11'' and my wife is short.. hehe
We are not planning on being stationary for more that a few months at a time (seasonal work/ traveling).
Mostly I just want something that will handle the mountains and all the adventures that we have in store.

Cheers!

Welcome Coleburner,

I think that you have made a wise decision. There is a wealth of knowledge available here regarding choosing the right bus for your needs.

Dive into the forums and learn. The many hours I spent reading here before I bought my bus helped me define what I wanted clearly before I started bidding on buses.

Hi Y'all! My hubby & I are looking for a long bus (77 passenger) . We live very close to New Orleans, not have not found one yet with over 12 windows . Can anyone give us any info, the schools all use the shorter ones. We are in our 60's but this is something we have wanted to do for a while. We have plans drawn out, help lined up. But no bus, thanks guys & gals!

Welcome Pansey,

You may get a better response to your question if you start a separate thread.

Take a look at govdeals.com and publicsurplus.com
