Hi from Illinois

Hello, just a quick introduction:

I'm from central Illinois and I'm really into the whole "skoolie" idea.
I've been doing a lot of googling on the topic and have been hanging around these forums for a while but just recently made an account.

I do not have a bus (yet) but I'm currently trying to sell a couple of motorcycles to fund a purchase. I'm getting ready to have a 4th kid and I think the skoolie thing will be a much more family friendly hobby than the motorcycles. I can get bike again when the kids move out.

I don't plan on full-timing, at least not for about 20 more years! I just want to go out a couple of times every year vacationing with the family with some of the comforts a big class a offers but without the 250k price tag lol!

Hey Den!

When you say central Illinois, do you mean Mt. Vernon or Effingham? I lived in Mt. Vernon and trucked through Effingham for a number of years.

Welcome! --- set up the bus for family trips...but leave enough room in the back for a ramp and scooter or two after the kids are grown. Best of both worlds. Have fun in both.

I actually consider Peoria to be northern Illinois, but no biggie. Just curious. Anyways, welcome to the mayhem!
