Hello. I've been here for a few but decided to update my info and with a picture. I noticed that it said I was "Scared to Post" so here I am!

Hi! I am about 3 weeks in and going very slow. I'm actually from East Long Beach and moved out here about 3 years ago. I've got most of my seats out. Most of the tracks out and now I'm stuck what to do with the A/C units. Lol. I have a goal to get out of here by next June before it gets too hot again. Would love to see your bus when you're in town!

Greetings, Tammy! And welcome!

'3 weeks in and going very slow'... I'm guessing the heat is at least one factor? It is for us. We're both cheering October on. It can't get here fast enough.

Regarding your AC, a couple links for you. The first is a question I asked about AC removal (and the great answers I received), the second an excellent thread about why you should STRONGLY consider keeping it.

The only thing that gave us trouble removing the units was the hose fittings were heavily corroded on our front evap/blower unit. After trying everything I could to remove them (I got one!), I ended up cutting the other hose, so when I put her all back together we'll have to source a new hose assembly. But everything else came out clean, and we taped it all off so we can re-install later.

Ha! Small world. There's been one for sale in MV for quite a few months for $3500. A 1979 Chevy I think a 12 window.

I'm so over this heat! I can't wait to get out of here. My goal is next June when my lease is up. I generally can only work a couple of hours in the morning a couple days a week. Finally got the last of the seats out this morning before it got to 100. Thanks for the A/C info. I'm going to leave them in for now. I have a few months to figure out if they really work or not.
