Haha. Come on guys: one lousy T-Shirt does not a pro make ... now, if someone wanted to offer me an old GreyHound bus, THAT would be real sponsorship ;)

I know where there is a Greyhound Sceni-Cruiser out on the Olympic Peninsula that hasn't moved in 20 years. . .

Have you ever ridden a Greyhound bus ? Torture.
You could name it Purgatory.

Cutting Holes in the Old Bus
It kind of felt weird cutting holes in the bus this week -- cut one for the toilet to drain into the black tank, then another for a water inlet. Also tore out my cargo boxes.
My newest video on the project captures much of what's been going on. Except for the mosquitoes. My darned bus is full of mosquitoes and they drain my blood every time I'm out there working.

We used to sing this song all the time on the school bus back in the '70s ... not sure if it's still popular among the younguns!

PLUMBING the Prison Bus
I got to work plumbing the prison bus this past week (or two). Having plumbed a few houses, I found this system to be ... CRAZY AND COMPLICATED! I mean, multiple tanks? Multiple water sources? But I like what I came up with in the end ... a few nicely repurposed items and some funky workarounds.
I'm not 100% done with the plumbing system, so will likely feature the installations of the barrels on the next video. Gotta hang those puppies well!
Here's the plumbing video:

Okay, one shoelace, one wad of chewing gum, and a brief prayer. How heavy can those tanks be?

According to my quick calculations, your tank will be lighter if empty than it will when full.

Don't underestimate the power of prayer.
Those tanks, full, will weigh a bit over 460lbs each.

We'll wash up with lots of soap ... that's lighter, right?

Round Gray Water Tank in a Square Hole
My title pretty much sums up my trials and tribulations with my gray water tank. It was a process. That much is true.
