Intro from Chicagoland

Good morning:

Very happy to have found this site. I'm still in the planning stages but it seems there is a lot to learn and share here. Should save me from lots of self inflicted mistakes!

Welcome to the Madhouse Jon! --- You did indeed find the best source for self inflicted mistake learning. Great info and people here. Just understand our one overriding rule..."without pix, it didn't happen".

We love pix here. It's great watching other people work. So...tell us about your bus or the one you are looking for.

Ditto what Tango said. We love pics. Work fascinates me, I could watch it all day. But seriously, read all you can here and ask lots of questions. This truly is a wonderful place. You can learn an awful lot and save yourself a lot of time and money by researching. It is good to have you here.

Thanks. Still planning but I want to make the conversion for general rv use and if I can make it happen, I'd like to live in it short term while I oversee my retirement build. Not sure if I'm looking for flat nose or hood. Shade tree mechanic in me says hood. I've read that some spots aren't too keen on skoolies and flat nose fits in better. Thoughts?

Maywood. Do you have a bus or are you planning? If you're in the city, where do you park it? That will be a concern for me, can't put it in the yard or street
