Just got the Skoolie bug! Trying to learn everything I can!

Hi all,
I've been lurking in the forum for a few days and it's really great. I basically figured out the toilet setup I want to use on this forum. (diy composting w/ fan. Black water tanks DO NOT sound fun!).
I want to get a shorty and outfit it for the me, wife, and 2 boxers but that's basically all I know right now. No idea what kind of bus to get or anything but that's why I'm here.

any advice is welcome and thanks for having me!

Planning your toilet before you get your shorty? Yup, you've got the bug alright.

Strangely enough, most of us focus on food prep first.

Welcome, you'll fit in just fine.

Your dogs must be well trained to use the potty, what breed?

I have to make it as comfortable as possible for the wifey. Bathroom seemed the most logical place to start. We want to be as self sufficient as possible and not have to rely on outside hookups. I know we want to add a shower, and a kitchen too.

since you mentioned food prep, what's easiest/ most common setup people use? propane camp stove bolted in?

Agreed. When away from home having a number of cooking methods available will help you to be able to eat hot food. Remember Murphy's law?

Good to have a Plan B. I will have a small, installed propane stove but will also carry my little back pack, pump up camp stove. Heck, I've had some really great meals off of that little sucker.

My bus kitchen gets small built-in elec convection oven, commercial induction hob as primary. Mini Bosch dishwasher experiment. Oh, hell- whole bus is a rolling experiment.

I need to secure the secondary propane burner yet. Propane grill hookup on her skirt for sure. We got tailgating to do, too.

multiple inside/outside options are the way we'll go. I think we can get away with one range mounted inside, just don't know if we should go electric or propane. I'd "like" the ability to fold the range up or down when not in use. I was thinking of using a small chest freezer and mounting it next to the sink covering it with the same counter top we'll use for the sink so it creates one continuous counter area for food prep.
