Let the adventure begin!(FL)

Hello, my name is Edward. I'm in Central Florida. Just bought a 1990 Blue Bird which is partially converted. Got it for $5000.

I have been looking for a way to get out into the world with a house on wheels for a while now. A couple of friends of mine had done it for years. I am very optimistic that it will be quite the adventure and look forward to connecting to this community. I need to do quite a bit of maintenance on it to get it on the road and then find a suitable place to park it!

Welcome Ehoppelmt

You'll find all the information and opinions that you can stand here.

Beyond that, you could be more descriptive about your purchase and pictures are better than mental images. Everybody is going to want to know what engine, body mfg. and level of conversion and stuff.

Have you found a build thread here for the same make and model?

It's 58 right now, here on the east coast. I've got my little heater blasting and was wondering where the cool air was coming from and realized the window above my desk was open. I've been staying pretty warm on my bus with just the space heater. Looks like it's going to be warmer tonight than last night... YAY!

Hello all,

She has an 8.2 Detroit. There is a leak in an aluminum pipe related to the transmission. I'm going to have it towed to a mechanic to do the work. Will need to find a place afterwards to park it. Some people recommend bartering.

My goal in the future would be to use the living space for a massage therapy business.

Thanks for any suggestions!
Edward
