Talking Like everyone else, everyone surprised... Considered nuts.

Hello! Can't really blame them, somewhat agree with them... What am I doing??

Well, I'll be buying my bus tomorrow. It's a 1989 Church bus that has been inspected every 6 months for the past 15 years. It reads 73k miles (no hundred thousands place), crossing my fingers it's under 100k, but not likely.

It's a diesel, seats 66. It a Thomson bus, grey. Cloth seats and was used by the military (from what I'm told). It is one of the high ones (6-6"), which is nice, air brakes.

Needs paint, and a bit of rust repair near the emergency exit (don't they all??)

It seems to be in decent shape for our RV conversion.

Your opinion: They church was going to scrap it, but decided to sell it on craiglist for $1000, about as much as scrap was going to pay them. Good deal? I did drive it a short distance and everything felt ok (and big). Keep in mind its been inspected every 6 months for the last 15 years (repairs done as needed). Driven on Sundays to pick up kids... Feels strong (but what do I know? )

I'll post a few good pictures when I purchase the behemoth. For now I'll post a mobile text pic. I think I'll be on this forum often and for a long time!

Bold beautiful move.
