Looking to get started

Hey guys, I was wondering how you guys go about finding buses? Do you have any advice on where to start? Or should I just look over craigslist and that kind of stuff till I find a good one in my price range?

Another question I had is whether or not you need a special license for a school bus or if a standard drivers license is enough.

Thanks.

Use the search bar above and search for "places to purchase a bus" Get back to us in a few days after easy all there is there.
Most states do not require a "special" license to drive an RV or decommissioned school bus as long as it can't seat 16.

Welcome to the group! You'll find a wealth of material here.

As a bit of friendly advice (and I mean that - I want you to have a good time here), try to search for what you're looking for before posting. Most questions have been answered before, and at length, by thoughtful, knowledgeable people, and you get your results immediately.

But to answer your question, there are subforums for members selling a bus and for non-affiliated buses we've found. Off-site, the favorite places discussed are GovDeals.com and PublicSurplus.com. And, of course, there's Craigslist and eBay.

Again, welcome!
