good list to work from

for some reason the last two on the list I seem ambivalent.

There is one with a vt365 engine.... look into "bulletproofing" some thing that is done to the ford 6.0 diesel and see if that applies to this engine. In the end oil changes on this motor are critical. opinion is if the injectors ever run out of fuel, they are toast in very very short order. engine coolant filters and maintenance are also considered critical to life of the engine. this engine will not tolerate any abuse in these areas.

The top two have huge air conditioners!

all of them are contenders.

good luck.

Big chassis, off road on this one, big engine, dt466, short, not to expensive.... but it is a stick shift.... Think about it, can keep en eye out for an allison automatic..... I think I even saw an allison 5000 a few days ago

We are not willing to go that far for a bus. I think at most I would be willing to as far as Texas - Kansas, like a line right through the states.

But thanks for the suggestion!

That is really kind of you, William. We dont want to impose on you too much. You are already helping us look for a bus and vet the ones we find.

maybe too short

As far as a big chassis goes, this is the shortest I have seen. This should get around like a big pickup truck. I dont think you want this small, but I thought I would point it out to you anyways. This is one of the very few I think a big gasoline engine is stout enough to get the job done because the bus is so small.

Ya, that is really short. The buses we are looking at avg. around 24 ft. We are willing to go up to 30.

My bus is 28’ - with the cargo rack I am about 30’ - which works nicely driving around and parking. 24’ - 30’ is a great size range.

hhmmm been a lot of silence, havent heard back from most of the people we emailed

This is pretty hard if you arent very flexible, we may just have to look into minis instead since those seem to be everywhere.

Thanks for the posts!

Actually, quick question,

If we buy a larger bus and cut the back off, can we get the GVWR recalculated?

Something like this: https://panamacity.craigslist.org/rv...695833861.html
