Much love from Colorado

Hey there,
I have started some other threads but I figured I would introduce ourselves.

We are a youngish couple from Colorado who just bought a 95' Carpenter 40ft 5.9l Cummins Turbo school bus. We were considering building a tiny house but instead just went for the bus life option. We intend on parking it on some land and starting up our own small homestead but for now we will be traveling for the next month in it. Ill have my 82' Honda CB 450 Nighthawk for runs around town and what not.

We intend on having a PV system installed, I used to install residential systems and have some racking and hardware saved up from when my boss let have scraps from a re-roof. We want to install a decent electrical system but that will be at a later date when we can afford materials. For now the bus is powered by 2 x 2200 Watt Ryobi Generators. I want to make a dual circuit adapter for it rather than paying $130 for one from the store.

We intend on having a composting toilet set up, but we also wanted a wet bath with a stand up shower. I don't know if those two can coexist but that will come at a later date as well.

I want to hook up a solar thermal water heating system. for the shower and for the kitchen sink. We have been looking for propane fridges but its hard to find them I think, none at Home Depot and none in the Re-Stores around our area.

We also wanted to build rooftop patio/luggage rack for sunset viewing.

This is definitely a work in progress and ideas are continually developing but I am glad we have such a great reference as this place. I have lurked here long before I met my lovely lady and we decided to get a bus.

Cheers
