My new 4 x 4 bus

Hello, I am new to the Skoolie.net forum. I would just like to say thank you to Skoolie.net and the Skoolie community contributing so much valuable information In one location!
I have been Following along researching Planning and saving money. Dreaming of the day, I buy a bus and Start My build. On a recent trip to Wyomi, I found her! She is a 1984 bluebird (Chevy) Short bus. She has a Chevy 350 engine, Dana 60 Ford front differential, 700 R4 tranny, Gear driven 205 transfer case and a Dana 80 rear end. Great bones for building a serious off road bus! Now I know she’s a little roughAnd most people see her is junk! But she’s my diamond in the rough and I love her! I have big plans for her and will post my progress. Still trying to come up with a theme, Paint scheme and name. Any ideas?

Beautiful. So what's the story on the running gear? Who converted it?

Hello, I’m really not sure who did the 4WD conversion? The Elderly couple I purchased the bus from had owned it for 14 years. They purchased it,at Auction from the Campbell county school district in Gillette Wyoming. At first I was thinking it was a Quigley but after looking at some of the shock mounts and four-wheel-drive shift linkage I’m thinking it was probably done by a shade tree mechanic! Trying to copy quickly brackets. Everything does work though. I changed all the fluids and drove it 968mi From Gillette Wyoming to northern California.

Nice find.
Much like mine except, in 4x4 and Bluebird.
Great for 1, but kinda close quarters for 2 or more occupants.
What's the interior look like?

That is a cool find. I have the same body in 1996 G30 Bluebird Microbird. Mine is still Wheatland Yellow. I had a 1997 Chevy diesel short bus also but sold it to keep the G30 gasser.
I’m interested to hear more about your build.
