Need help re-engaging bifold door mechanism

Newbie here. Just bought a 1995 ElDorado shuttle bus. The bi-fold passenger door casing was coming loose from the main frame so in an effort to remove the interior plastic casing I needed to dis-engage the door mechanism, using the emergency red handle. I noticed that the pressure pump is now completely free of the emergency pin and I can't get it back on. Does anyone know how to reengage the pump arm (I can't push it into place, too much pressure).

OR if anyone can point me in the direction of mechanical drawings/manuals for the door mechanisms (or for the entire El Dorado layout) .... would be wonderful. I've already spent countless hours trying to phrase my google search properly with very little to show for it!

Many thanks! I've enjoyed reading your posts before joining.
Photos of the problem area are attached.

on most of the eldorados you simply open and close the door with the switch and it will relatch. some you have to use the switch to move the cylinder into the right place so you can manually reset the emergency lever. i have had luck before calling then and asking for manuals or schematics. sometimes they care for then and others they will email them at no cost. you might also check their website, sometimes they have technical info available there
